Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of CourseCadence, a product of CompassAI Inc. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

Using CourseCadence

You may use CourseCadence for lawful personal and educational purposes. You are responsible for your account, the accuracy of information you provide, and activity performed through your account. Do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or upload content that you do not have the right to use.

Academic and AI-assisted information

CourseCadence helps organize academic information and may use automated or AI-assisted processing to interpret syllabi and suggest schedules. Results can be incomplete or incorrect. You remain responsible for checking official course materials, deadlines, grades, and institutional requirements.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant CompassAI Inc. a limited license to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve CourseCadence. You represent that you have the rights needed to provide the content.

Connected services

Optional integrations such as Google sign-in, Google Calendar, notifications, and billing depend on third-party services. Their availability and use are also governed by the applicable provider terms. You may disconnect optional integrations through CourseCadence or the provider where available.

Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Prices, billing periods, and trial terms are shown before purchase. Billing is processed by Stripe or the applicable app store. You can manage or cancel through the billing portal or store account used for purchase. Except where required by law or stated otherwise at purchase, fees already paid are non-refundable.

Service availability

We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of CourseCadence. The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that generated plans will produce any particular academic outcome.

Account suspension and termination

You may stop using or deactivate your account at any time. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service or others, enforce these terms, or comply with law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CompassAI Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, opportunities, or academic outcomes arising from use of the service. Rights that cannot lawfully be limited remain unaffected.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as CourseCadence changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Questions may be sent to info@compassailearning.com.
