Privacy Policy

CourseCadence is a product of CompassAI Inc. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the CourseCadence website and mobile apps.

Information we collect

• Account details, including your name, email address, and sign-in methods.
• Academic information you provide, such as schools, courses, schedules, assignments, grades, study activity, preferences, and learning-style responses.
• Files and images you upload, including syllabi and optional profile backgrounds.
• Subscription status and billing identifiers. Payment-card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by CourseCadence.
• Device, notification, and diagnostic information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
• Google account and calendar information when you choose Google sign-in or connect Google Calendar.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, create and maintain study plans, process syllabi, detect schedule conflicts, track progress, deliver reminders, provide support, manage subscriptions, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate CourseCadence, including Supabase for authentication, databases, and file storage; Vercel for hosting; Stripe for billing; Anthropic for syllabus and study-content processing; Google for sign-in and optional calendar features; and Resend and platform notification services for communications. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.

Google user data

Google sign-in provides basic identity information such as your email and profile details. If you separately connect Google Calendar, CourseCadence accesses calendar information only to display or synchronize calendar events according to the options you enable. You can disconnect Google Calendar from Profile settings. We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.

Sharing and sale

We do not sell personal information. We share information with service providers only as needed to deliver the service, comply with law, protect users and CourseCadence, or complete a business transaction with appropriate safeguards.

Retention and deletion

We retain information while your account is active and as needed for the purposes described above. Deactivating your account makes its associated data unavailable in the product. You may contact us to request permanent deletion. Limited records may remain where required for security, legal, billing, or backup purposes.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can update profile and notification settings, disconnect Google Calendar, manage billing through the billing portal, or deactivate your account from Profile settings. You may also request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us.

Children and student use

CourseCadence is intended for students who are legally permitted to create an account or who use the service with authorization from a parent, guardian, or educational institution where required by law.
