• Content: information about your courses, materials, schedule, appointments, learning styles and/or preferences, goals, priorities course information or work product
• Usage Data - Activity / Reactions: Data about your activity on and use of CourseCadence, such as app launches within our services, including browsing history; search history; product interaction; crash data, performance and other diagnostic data; and other usage data

How we use Information

We only collect and process your information as needed to provide, maintain and improve the service and to comply with legal obligations. We may also use your information to verify account access and security and to provide customer support.

We may use your information to process transactions you select.

We may use your information to communicate with you, including to respond to communications, reach out to you about your account or transactions, to market our products and services, provide other relevant information, or request information or feedback. From time to time, we may use your personal data to send important notices, such as communications about purchases and changes to our terms, conditions, and policies.

We may use technologies such as “cookies” to store your login credentials, understand how you engaged with CourseCadence and enhance security and operation of the services we provide as well as any third-party services enabled to connect with CourseCadence.

We do not sell, rent or share any member data for advertising or marketing purposes.

Third-Party Service Providers

If you connect your account to other applications or services, the terms of those applications or services apply to such use.

We may share information with trusted third-party providers who assist in operating CourseCadence applications and websites, such as hosting services, secure email delivery or payment processing. In such an event, those service providers contractually commit to use information only as needed to perform the services to CourseCadence and its users.

Data Security

All data is encrypted during transmission and at rest. Access is restricted to authorized users and service providers who will use it only as needed to perform the services. We use industry-standard security measures to protect against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of your information.

Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, comply with legal obligations, or enforce agreements. You may also delete your account and data at any time.

Children’s Privacy

CourseCadence is not intended for children under 13 years of age. Any information entered about a minor must be with their parents’ consent.

FERPA

Nothing in this Agreement permits CourseCadence to receive, access or request student educational records as defined under FERPA. CourseCadence may receive only Student-provided course information, materials, work product or information voluntarily shared by Students in connection with their use of the CourseCadence app or services.

Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under certain U.S. privacy laws to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to limit its use.

You may request to update or remove your personal information at any time by emailing privacy@compassailearning.com.

International Use

CourseCadence is operated in the United States. If you access the app from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States under applicable data protection laws.

Updates to this Policy

We may update this policy periodically to reflect changes in law, technology or our practices. Updates will be posted at https://coursecadence.app/privacy. Your continued use of the application after such an update indicates your acceptance of the updated privacy policy.
